Description

A delightful appetizer that combines rich flavors of bacon and cheddar cheese into a creamy, delicious orb, perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bacon
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • Crackers or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. Begin by gathering all your ingredients. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Use a spatula or a mixer to blend the ingredients until everything is well combined and creamy. Ensure there are no large chunks and the mixture is smooth.
  3. If you’re adding nuts for extra crunch and flavor, fold in the chopped walnuts or pecans at this stage until they’re evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  4. Form the mixture into a ball or log shape. Wrap it in plastic wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow it to firm up.
  5. After chilling, unwrap the cheese ball and serve it with an assortment of crackers or vegetable sticks. Enjoy!

Notes

For a spicy kick, add diced jalapeños or roll the cheese ball in extra crumbled bacon or chopped herbs for presentation.
