Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft, then drain them and let them cool slightly.
  2. Mash the potatoes until smooth, then mix in the flour and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into two pieces and shape each into a round disc about 1/2 inch thick.
  4. Cut each disc into quarters.
  5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and fry the farls for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
