Instructions
- In a pot, bring the water or milk to a boil.
- Stir in the rolled oats and salt.
- Reduce heat to low and add the diced apple, cinnamon, and brown sugar or maple syrup. Stir well.
- Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and creamy.
- Serve warm, topped with your choice of nuts, raisins, or extra apple slices.
Notes
For creamier oatmeal, use steel-cut oats. Try almond or oat milk for a dairy-free alternative. You can customize with various fruits and nuts.
