Description
These quesadillas combine sweet apples, warm cinnamon, and gooey cheese, making a delightful breakfast that’s quick and easy to prepare.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tortillas
- 1 apple, peeled and sliced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella)
- Maple syrup for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat until bubbly and fragrant.
- Add sliced apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar to the skillet. Cook until apples are soft, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure they don’t stick.
- Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle half of the cheese on top, add the cooked apple mixture evenly over the cheese, and then add the remaining cheese on top.
- Top with the second tortilla. Cook until golden brown on one side, about 2-3 minutes. Carefully flip and cook until the other side is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat, slice into wedges, and serve warm with maple syrup if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave until warmed through.
