Description

Delightful dessert treats that blend airy meringue with a rich and creamy filling, creating a cloud-like indulgence with nutty almond flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 4 egg whites
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in almond flour and powdered sugar gently into the meringue mixture.
  4. Pipe circles of the meringue onto prepared baking sheets and bake for 25-30 minutes until dry and crisp.
  5. Allow meringues to cool completely on baking sheets.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and fold in vanilla extract and softened butter for the cream filling.
  7. Assemble by spreading cream filling between two meringue layers and repeat until all are used.
  8. Chill the assembled clouds in the refrigerator for 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed within 2-3 days. Can be frozen before assembling with the cream filling.
