A delightful blend of spice and freshness, these Air Fryer Fish Tacos with Cilantro Lime Slaw are perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a weekend get-together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ lb tilapia or white fish (mahi mahi, cod)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne (more or less for spiciness)
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp cracked pepper
  • c cole slaw mix
  • 3 T mayonnaise
  • 1 T lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • c chopped cilantro
  • ½ tsp sugar (optional)
  • ¼ tsp sea salt (more or less to taste)
  • ¼ tsp cracked pepper
  • Tortillas
  • Extra lime juice

Instructions

  1. Spray the air fryer basket with oil and preheat to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine the chili powder, oregano, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, onion powder, cumin, sea salt, and cracked pepper. Pat the fish dry, then coat each piece with the spice mixture.
  3. Place the seasoned fish in the air fryer basket and cook for 8–10 minutes, or until the fish is flaky and opaque.
  4. While the fish is cooking, mix the cole slaw ingredients together in a bowl.
  5. Once the fish is done, cut it into bite-sized pieces and assemble your tacos.
  6. Serve your tacos with extra lime juice for a zesty finishing touch.

Notes

These tacos shine as a main course but can be served with a side of black beans or Mexican rice. Consider garnishing with avocado or extra cilantro.
