Description
A delightful twist on traditional fries, these Air Fryer Apple Fries are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making them a perfect snack or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Peel the apples if you prefer, then cut them into fry-like sticks. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Set up your coating stations: In the first bowl, add the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until well blended. In the third bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon.
- Dredge each apple stick in the flour. Next, dip each stick into the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
- Arrange the apple fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking halfway through until they’re golden and crispy.
Notes
Serve warm, optionally with caramel dip or yogurt. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
