- 3/4 lb ground beef
- 1/2 head cabbage
- 2 carrots (shredded or thinly sliced)
- 3 green onions (sliced)
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp cooking oil (grapeseed or vegetable oil)
- Pinch salt
- Pinch pepper
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- Prepare the vegetables: Slice the cabbage into thin strips, shred the carrots, and chop the green onions.
- Make the sauce: In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, brown sugar, and rice vinegar until well combined.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then, add the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add the cabbage, carrots, and green onions. Pour the prepared sauce over everything. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp. Season with salt and pepper; sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Serve warm over rice or noodles. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
